Haere mai – welcome to Twizel Early Learning Centre.

Based in the stunning MacKenzie basin, Twizel Early Learning Centre is a non-profit, community based Early Childhood Education provider located in the Twizel township. Licensed for 39 children, we provide our community with high quality education and care for children aged 0-6 years old.

We work closely with parents and Whānau in a partnership of learning to promote the best possible learning outcomes for children. Our families are closely involved in our centre, often choosing to join our Governing Board in order to learn more about how the centre is run, and become involved at a decision making level.

Twizel Early Learning Centre  is an extension of the home. Our relaxed environment is full of natural, sustainable resources which stimulate children’s wonder and curiosity.

Meal times are an enjoyable daily ritual where children and kaiako come together to share kai. We provide delicious, healthy, home-cooked meals, using herbs and vegetables from our own garden where possible.

We run a Transition to School programme for our four year old tamariki who have regular visits to the neighbouring Twizel Area School, and also provide a ‘Buddy programme’ with one of the classrooms.
